Treabar-OPPO Find X6 Pro runs ‘Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’ smoothly in full frame experience

Title: Imaging and Performance of OPPO Find X6 Pro
On March 21st, OPPO Find X6 Pro was officially released. This high-end imaging flagship not only boasts an ample supply of hardware resources in terms of imaging and battery life but also features the second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship mobile platform, providing users with a reliable choice. ZOL’s editorial department also had the opportunity to test this new device beforehand, and we will now delve into its performance in detail.

Triple Performance Triangle, Hardware Guaranteed

As the first element determining performance, hardware configuration has always been a focal point for many manufacturers. OPPO Find X6 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip, with the ultra-high core frequency reaching 3.2GHz. This results in a 37% improvement in CPU performance and a 42% boost in GPU performance, alongside a significant 49% reduction in power consumption. In terms of memory, the device employs a fully optimized LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0, forming a “performance triangle” with the SoC. It is well known that read/write performance significantly impacts the smoothness of daily usage. For a phone to last long, the memory needs to be top-notch. The OPPO Find X6 Pro excels in this aspect, starting with a 12GB memory. To ensure stable gaming experiences, OPPO Find X6 Pro has also strengthened its 5G communication capabilities. The Super N28 5G multi-antenna design significantly boosts the 5G coverage area, theoretically up to 6 times, improving signal quality in crowded, weak signal areas like suburban areas, underground garages, and subways. The dual-5G network support allows users greater flexibility, enabling them to make HD calls while maintaining data connections. The Cloud Gaming Cloud Network is also available, automatically switching to a smoother network line when the current network quality is poor, accelerating the search for a stable connection, reducing “lag” occurrences, and ensuring not missing any intense team battles.

Self-developed ColorOS SuperComputing Platform, Same Chip, Different Conditions

While hardware alone is not enough, OPPO Find X6 Pro truly stands out in terms of performance thanks to the ColorOS SuperComputing Platform. Developed by OPPO, the platform employs the “memory gene reorganization technology” at the system level to thoroughly reconstruct the Android memory architecture, ensuring precise resource allocation and tackling issues of resource distribution and memory usage conflicts. This significantly improves the product’s long-term smoothness, enhancing app retention. Additionally, this generation of OPPO Find X6 series features two new features: the Microarchitecture Supercomputing Engine and Refresh Storage Technology. The former comprehensively analyzes the microarchitecture’s operation chain, focusing on achieving a balanced performance and power consumption, while the latter uses efficient compression algorithms, file defragmentation, and storage acceleration techniques to effectively prevent performance degradation over time, offering a smooth and responsive experience.

Performance Test Results of Large Games

Words are not enough; let’s now test the actual frame rate performance of OPPO Find X6 Pro when playing large games. In the AnTuTu V9 benchmark test, the device achieved a gaming score of 13,299,490, with a single-core score of 1,485 and a multi-core score of 4,768. These scores place it at the top of its price range. The two games tested were “Diablo Immortal” and “Genshin Impact,” both with high performance requirements. Testing was conducted in a room temperature of 24°C, with game settings set to their maximum. Using PerfDog to record the frame rate throughout the game, the results are as follows:
OPPO Find X6 Pro performed well in “Diablo Immortal,” maintaining high frame rates without sacrificing game quality. The average frame rate was 59.2 frames per second, ensuring smooth gameplay. In “Genshin Impact,” the device ran at full frame rates throughout the game, with excellent temperature control, avoiding any “hot” sensations.
Memory tests were also conducted, showing that after using various daily apps for an hour, most of them could be quickly opened and closed, indicating the significant enhancement of the ColorOS SuperComputing Platform in performance.
